How do I collect the key on arrival?

Follow the directions which are here which will take you to Reception.  Please do not use Sat Nav as you will go up the wrong road.  

What is Check in and Check Out Time?

Check in is from 4.00 pm and Check out is by 10.00 am, apart from on a Sunday when checkout can be up to 4.00 pm

How to I book?

You can book on line and preferred payment is by debit card or bacs although we do also accept credit cards.  

Is breakfast provided?

We provide you with a Welcome Scottish breakfast pack of Sausages, Bacon, Haggis, Tomato, Eggs, Bread for toasting, butter and marmalade so you can enjoy a cooked breakfast on the BBQ.  However, if you prefer a slower start to the day, we also provide Porridge,  Fruit and Milk and Coffee/Tea which you can enjoy in the warmth of your Pod or enjoy the sunshine and sit out on the decking. 

Is Linen provided?

Yes everything is provided.  There are two double duvets.  Each one is inside a cotton sleeping bag which can be zipped up to make a sleeping bag each or can be used unzipped with one laid flat and the other one top.  Two pillows are provided.

2 Bath Towels, 2 Hand Towels, Bath Mat are provided together with Robes and Slippers, plus Leisure towels for the hot tub.  Shower Gel, Hand Soap and Shampoo are also provided.

What are the Cooking Facilities?

There is a small Galley style kitchen with a sink, a Nespresso Coffee Machine, Kettle and Toaster.  

Outside there is your own BBQ hut so you can cook almost anything.  There are pans for the more adventurous chefs and a flat pan for frying your eggs!

There is a small fridge inside the Pod and also a larger fridge with an ice box for your own use nearby.

What do I need to bring?

Food to cook on the BBQ although you can order through us when booking, such as Steak, Sausages, BBQ packs etc which are provided by our local butcher.

Warm outdoor clothes and appropriate footwear.

Can I bring my Dog?

Yes you can bring your dog.  However, please bear in mind it is probably better if it is a small dog!  There are walks where dogs can be off leads but around your pod and the lodges, we do ask that your dog is kept on a lead at all times.

How Many Pods are there?

There is only one Pod - the Rowan Pod - which makes it very exclusive.  


The Rowan Pod is situated on its own with lovely views in all directions.  There are 633 acres of farmland to explore and we are just a half hour south of Edinburgh, and not much further from the sea.

Is the Pod heated all year round?

Yes, there is underfloor heating throughout plus an infra red panel heater which keeps the temperature at 19/20 degrees.  There is also a towel raill which is heated and can be switched on for up to 2 hours when required.
