February in the Scottish Borders

There are signs of Spring everywhere. Snowdrops are coming through and Daffodils are beginning to peep out of the ground. Lots of beautiful sunrises and blue skies.

The Scottish Snowdrop Festival

Cringletie House - take a walk around the grounds of this lovely hotel and see if you can spot fairies amongst all the snowdrops. Enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the hotel and if you can find all the fairies then you could win a free lunch!

Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh - enjoy the amazing collections of specailist snowdrops around these magnificent gardens

Dawyck Botanic Gardens, near Peebles - Again a lovely display of snowdrops to enjoy

Dryburgh Abbey - vsit the magnificent ruins of the Abbey and wander along the banks of the Tweed to enjoy the snowdrops in bloom. You will also find the final resting place of Sir Walter Scott. Have a peep at the Dryburgh Yew - possibly one of Scotland's most ancient trees.
